Phe Festival in club format anticipates the summer with the performance of Joe Crepúsculo on March 22

Conceived as a circuit for live music, Phe Club will offer
five pre-festival parties spread across Tenerife, Las Palmas and Arrecife

Phe Club is conceptually a Itinerant music and trend festival that takes place in theaters, closed enclosures enabled for the occasion. A live music circuit with intermittent periodicity and variable location that opens on March 22 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (O-Club, La Cascada building) with a poster headed by Joe Crepúsculo and Eme Dj, To which are added other Canarian references such as Berna, La Maldita and a regular on the islands such as Mr Paradise.

In a first proposal for the 2019 season, Phe Club will then travel through Puerto de la Cruz (May 31), Arrecife (June 1), La Laguna (July 5) and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (July 6). A program of performances with trend-setting artists, who are a national benchmark beyond their music and the aesthetics they practice, which also incorporates the most outstanding Canarian proposals and which will reveal successive posters at each previous meeting. Among other groups already confirmed are Hidrogenesse, The Vinegars or renowned selectors of the national independent scene such as We Are Not Dj's.

As its name indicates, Phe Club has the vocation of a club, of bringing together people with common interests, associated with music, artistic currents and technology for a mixed and critical consumption. Just like a community of friends in social networks that are transferred to real life, a non-virtual extension of the phellower community, followers, faithful supporters, followers of the values and the playful and uninhibited spirit promoted by the Phe festival, which is held in Puerto de la Cruz since 2016.

The proposal has dance at the top of its objectives and considers DJs and selectors as indicators of cultural avant-garde. As an extension of Phe Festival, this project opens new enjoyment options for your audience throughout the year, and thus becomes a music and trends festival in venues, with the same character to inspire a current, committed and active audience, capable of integrating labels such as indie, rock, dance, urban, electronic...

Phe Festival 2019 will be held in Puerto de la Cruz on August 23 and 24 and as the first confirmed artists it has Ángel Stanich, Carolina Durante, Los Punsetes, Delaporte and Locoplaya, in addition to a series of unique and original artistic and social proposals.

Both tickets for this first Phe Club as the tickets for Phe Festival are on sale on the official Web and the platform Tickety.es.

Integrated in the Cultural Strategy 2020 promoted by the Culture area of Puerto de la Cruz, Phe Festival continues its commitment to converting the city into a benchmark for large-format live music, providing freshness, reflection and sustainability criteria, to consolidate a brand, a style and a seductive image oriented abroad without losing the commitment to the public of the Canary Islands.

There are stories that become great, that become beautiful with an almost inexplicable naturalness. There are stories that are winning horses, that have the empathy gene implicit, that live fully in the present while giving birth to a future rich in nuances, promising; there are stories that from their very germ are a decalogue of good experiences. Some of this has Phe Festival. And here he comes, in his fourth year of life, making his way by walking...

This Friday afternoon, it opened the doors to its scenic emergence (we must not forget that Phe Festival is a broader multidisciplinary sample) in an accomplice summer afternoon. 'Third summer of love', says the main motto of the festival. So it was.

The much that music contributes to this August sample (a lot and good in this 2019) is completed with what its audience brings from home. Phe Festival it is an experience shared by thousands of attendees; around 5,000 people on this Friday day. They all have some protagonists too.

What is experienced at the foot of the stage is almost as valuable as what is displayed on the loudspeakers. And that's nothing, because in this first installment of 2019 the artistic poster featured names like Depedro, Locoplaya, Arizona Baby and Los Punsetes, in addition to El Extranjero, The Statue Thieves and Cariño, who were the three bands in charge of opening the festival from five in the afternoon.

At this point, after four first editions, there is blind faith in Phe Festival. Music is the ultimate claim for an experience that is both vital (in its fair dimension) and artistic. For many of the attendees, there is no summer until it arrives Phe Festival. And there the festival is waiting for them, at the height, with organizational solvency and with the necessary complements of the great musical events: rest areas, gastronomy, market, recreational activities.

And so, in that generous atmosphere of joy and expectation, Locoplaya's dismembered rap succeeds each other with almost the same success and acceptance as subtle proposals of Depedro's style. One of the moments of the festival, which also exemplifies its own community essence, was played by Jairo Zavala himself when he got off the stage to sing armed only with a microphone and his guitar, surrounded by thousands of people.

'Just say its so', 'End of the world' -Arizona Baby-, 'Let's see', 'More fresh', -Locoplaya-; 'You're talking', 'Idiot'; or 'Nubes de papel' and 'Dejalo ir' -Depedro-, among many other songs... were last night the soundtrack of a successful musical day that isn't so much about luck as it is about a job well done. Between pop, rock and rap -and all the artistic variety of its four editions- stories arise that are forever. Faced with the culture of the ephemeral, put Phe in your life.

When Delaporte makes you dance...

Ph 2019 has left the aftertaste of the great festivals. It is a living sample, still in the expansion phase (the expectations for future editions are increasing), but it closes a new chapter (in the epilogue of its fourth edition) with the solvency of a duty fulfilled: good musical offer, parallel activities of height, organizational capacity and a generous public response (10,000 people in total between the days of Friday and Saturday).

In the sample of cultural events in the Canary Islands, this Porto event has been established with fire that drops anchor in the month of August but that haunts the collective imagination of thousands of people almost throughout the year. Phe Festival it is a meeting point, it is the aftertaste of wanting to return; is a red dot on the calendar. Festive red, of course.

Phe Festival it has many axes. The first, the public. Every more numerous and at the same time more and more family. There are the residents and businesses in the area, who live in harmony, and collaborate, with an event that for a few days modifies their daily reality. And there is the City Council of Puerto de la Cruz, armored in its firm commitment to the continuity and improvement of the festival.

On this basis, it only remains for the artists to raise the bar to the highest. And so it happened on Friday, and so it happened on Saturday. With absolutely superlative moments, like when Delaporte took over the stage after a quarter past nine at night and made the whole venue dance. The abduction of the hips, ankles and knees. Impossible not to give fire to the body to the rhythm of Sandra and Sergio; a sweet and energetic dictatorship.

Perhaps it was the high point of the night, in the middle of almost everything, when Ángel Stanich had performed before, in addition to GAF and Not a number, and when Carolina Durante, Mueloreina and WAS still had to come on stage. The public danced, jumped, sang... from the intense pop-rock of the Durante and with the challenging proposal of the Mueveloreina, so different from each other that perhaps the only point in common was, once again, the generation of good moments. Joy time, festival time. The battle that Phe has been winning since its first edition.

Early Bird September 14th, the date on which the presence of the Galician musician and producer Carlos Ares was also announced. Six artists whose music travels between popular, fusion, and technological sounds, urban sounds, indie rock, psychedelia, and pop, with whom a lineup begins to take shape, and for which new international, national, and local additions will be announced in the coming weeks. Tenefie Phe Festival faces its eleventh edition with the aim of revalidating its status as the trendsetting summer festival in the Canary Islands. To achieve this, the organization reinforces the essence of live music on two stages that will feature international, national, and local artists and projects, in addition to offering continuous programming on a third stage, Phe Club, inaugurated in the tenth edition, dedicated to club culture, electronic, and dance music, with the presence of leading figures in the electronic scene.

The 2026 edition invites the party to Puerto de la Cruz with international, national, and local sound offerings of different kinds. Among them is Argentinian singer Natalia Doco, one of the standout figures on the Phe Festival 2026 lineup. An artist who has lived in Paris since 2012, where she has developed a sound that unites continents and generations, with a fusion of Argentinian folk traditions, indigenous spirituality, and urban rhythms, and who will be at Phe Festival 2026 presenting her fourth studio album., Axe, slated for release in spring 2026.

Another project named after a woman, Ona Mafalda, will be at Phe Festival in 2026. With roots in the UK and Bulgaria, Ona Mafalda's musical proposal, influenced by Florence and the Machine, The Strokes, Blondie, and Patti Smith, combines the electric energy of alternative rock with the sensitivity of contemporary pop, creating a bilingual and borderless sound. Reset It is the title of his latest work, a journey of electric guitars and emotional intensity.

Pop and psychedelia

Three reference projects from the national scene, such as the musician and producer from A Coruña, Carlos Ares, the Madrid-based band Rufus T. Firefly, and the new revelation called Barry B, in addition to the Canarian artist Choclock, complete the first announcement of the eleventh edition of the festival. Carlos Ares was one of the sensations of last year for the specialized Spanish press with the release of his debut album. Pilgrim (2024). Elevated alternative pop with a clear folk influence, which earned them the award for Best Pop Album at the latest MIN Awards. In May 2025, they released their second album, The Wolf's Mouth, a project that represents an evolution and an addition: more complex, more experimental, more complete.

Barry B is the musical project of Gabriel Barriuso García, which was launched in Aranda de Duero, Burgos, in 2019. The artist from Aranda de Duero, Burgos, began experimenting in 2019 with fresh sounds alongside Rusowsky and Ralphie Choo, eventually finding his path in rock, establishing the personality that defines his proposal and style today.

In 2024, they released their debut album Chato (Universal), combining avant-garde and roots, which included a collaboration with Carolina Durante on I thought I had hit the jackpot., which has become an anthem. An album that opened doors and made him stand out on the national scene, positioning him as one of the most magnetic voices of his generation. In September 2025, he released the Ep Miscalibrated childhood which gives its name to the tour that brings him to Phe Festival in September of next year, and that to date has sold out wherever the artist has gone with this new project.

Rufus T. Firefly is a Madrid-based band led by Víctor Cabezuelo and Julia Martín-Maestro, considered a cult favorite within Spain's independent music scene. Their energy and deeply sophisticated sound avoid the obvious, creating an atmosphere of magic and rock with touches of clean and highly addictive psychedelia in every production and live performance. Active since 2006, the band has returned to the studio and stages in 2025 with the album "Todas las cosas buenas" (All Good Things), which they are presenting at Phe Festival alongside their greatest hits.

The Canary Islander Choclock, the artistic alias of Sergio Bruno Miguel Delgado, Choclock will also be live in Puerto de la Luz at the eleventh edition of Phe Festival. One of the most versatile artists on the music scene, he has stood out for his ability to fuse genres and create melodies that connect with the public, both in his role as a producer and as a singer. Since his beginnings in the BNMP (Broke Niños Make Pesos) collective, the Canary Islander has worked to establish himself as a figure in Spanish R&B.

Cycle, the perfect equation for dancing

The Madrid-based band and their unique fusion of rock and electronic music will arrive at Phe Festival on Friday, September 5th, with the 20th-anniversary tour of their debut album ‘Weak on the Rocks’ and a repertoire of hits to ignite the dance floor, such as ‘Mechanical,’ ‘Apple Tree,’ or ‘Confussion!!!’

#PHE2025 || #GeneraciónPhe || #10AñosPhe

The Madrid band Cycle turned the national scene upside down in 2005 with an energetic proposal of rock and electronic music that turned every live concert into a massive experience. Undoubtedly, the perfect equation for dancing, with a calibrated dose of electro and rock, which will be present at the tenth anniversary of Phe Festival, in Puerto de la Cruz. Cycle returns to Phe Festival next Friday, September 5 with the 20th anniversary tour of their debut album, Weak on the Rocks, which contained hits from their repertoire such as Mechanical, Apple Tree, Perfect pervert or Confusion!!!

This is the second time Cycle has performed at Phe Festival, following their appearance at the first edition held in 2016, on a single day and on a debut lineup for the Puerto de Santa María festival which also featured Belako, Of faith, Kostrok and 33. This time, Cycle is one of the featured acts on the main stage of Phe Festival for its tenth anniversary, performing on opening day alongside Nada Surf, Dorian, Ale Acosta, San Tosielo, and Los Blody.

The project led by David Kano, along with guitarist Juanjo Reig and China Patino, has a new singer: Carlos Ortega from Lanzarote (Zurych, Monkey Faces). He is the fourth male vocalist the project has had. Cycle From its inception, first with Luke Donovan, followed by Ziclope and Matthias Freund, the lead singer of the German band Codec & Flexo.
With five albums released, as well as remixes and singles, Weak on the rocks (2005), Sleepwalkers (2009), Stripped (2011), Dance All Over (2015) and Electric (2018) and after nearly five years of silence, in late 2024 the band announced its return to the stage with the 20th-anniversary tour for *Weak on the Rocks*. The tour has taken the band to festivals such as Metrópoli Gijón, Sonorama Ribera (Burgos), and No Sin Música (Cádiz), as well as the upcoming Phe Festival (Tenerife), and venues in Madrid, Azpeitia (Gipuzkoa), Vitoria-Gasteiz, Tarragona, Barcelona, and Valencia, among others.
On the occasion of the anniversary of Weak on the Rocks, last May Cycle began releasing remixes of the debut album. A series of installments that DJ Nano inaugurated with his take on the classic. Confusion!!! This hit was followed last June by the track "Ray of Ease," remixed by Spaniard Siliodisco and Colombian Mao Fonegra; and in July, the also classic from his "flammable" repertoire, "Apple Tree," in a reinterpretation by Parissior and Size M.

The band is in enviable shape, and their concerts continue to captivate audiences just as they did in their early days, as has been evident on this tour. This is confirmed by singer Carlos Ortega, who previews the band's concert at Phe Festival: “We play almost the entire Weak on the Rocks album, but we also play other songs that we have to play, like ”Saturday Girl' or 'Wicked,' which are on other albums and are singles.".
“Cycle is something else,” points out Carlos Ortega when asked how the experience of being the voice of Cycle is going. “The 20th anniversary tour is going very well. When I signed up for this story, I knew there would be movement,” emphasizes the singer. And as he rightly emphasizes, “the band had a very good peak in the early 2000s; at that time, there were no bands doing this type of music, with male-female singers, and with a very powerful formula.”.

Essay and touring

And how did Carlos Ortega get involved with Cycle in this new phase of the band? “It was a sum of coincidences, really. We crossed paths at Arrecife en Vivo, when they won the award for medium-format festival and played a concert at El Reducto, before the pandemic. I went with Monkey Faces, which was just starting out, and Cycle was on the bill, before the last lineup change, with Cynthia Lund and Mathias.”.

Carlos Ortega remembers that “David Kano liked the concert, he wrote down the license plate, and that was that. But a couple of summers ago, when David decided to reactivate the band and announced on social media that they were looking for a new singer, a mutual friend from Lanzarote reminded David about it. I spoke with him, he sent me the audio of some songs to add the vocals to: Apple Three, Confusion!!! and Saturday Girl, and he liked it. The next thing was to go to Madrid, rehearse, and announce that Cycle had a new singer.”.

Of all the good things that have come from Cycle's return, for Carlos Ortega, one of the very special dates in 2025 is their performance at Phe Festival. He was at the 2023 edition leading the Lanzarote band Zurych, and now he returns as the frontman of Cycle. “It will be a special concert, and we're going to play a new song that won't be on the next album, Cycle's sixth, which we're already preparing. An album that deviates a bit from the line that has been usual in their recent work, although it has very marked traces of Cycle but in a much more elegant and mature style,” he assures.

The new album, Cycle's sixth, “is almost finished.”, with a first single on the horizon, to be released at the end of the year, once the tour concludes 20th anniversary.
