Call for proposals from emerging artists in the Canary Islands for the eighth edition of the Phe Gallery group exhibition. The aim of this exhibition is to promote and highlight emerging artists whose creative work addresses, particularly, but not exclusively, issues related to recycling, the environmental crisis on the Canary Islands' coasts, and the preservation of natural environments. We are seeking projects that use art as a tool for reflection, denunciation, awareness-raising, and social transformation in the face of contemporary challenges: painting, sculpture, graffiti, installations, photography, illustration, video art, performance, site-specific work, and more.

Emerging artists from any discipline (visual, plastic, sound, performance, etc.) may participate.
They can be presented individually or collectively.
Priority will be given to artists residing in the Canary Islands or whose projects are linked to their natural, social, or cultural territory.
All participants must be of legal age.

The 9th edition de Phe Gallery is curated by beatrice rock along with a curatorial team made up of agents from the art world, from different domains, with the objective of having varied representation.
Director of Galería Claro, specializing in the direction of cultural projects and the curation of contemporary exhibitions. She is currently coordinating Phe Gallery 2026, in its fourth consecutive year. Her collaborations include Teidelab, Espacio La Panera, and Agüita Arte Contemporáneo at Hybrid Art Fair Madrid 2025, participating in the development and management of contemporary exhibition projects. Her work connects art, culture, and cultural management in an innovative and effective way.
M. Lohrum is an Canarian artist specializing in performance drawing, educated between the University of La Laguna and Central Saint Martins in London. Her work has been recognized internationally with awards such as the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize (2020), Zealous Stories: Performance (2021), and the Ann Judd Award from the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Drawing Prize (2025). Her work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy (London), ArtN (Shanghai), The Royal West of England (Bristol), Drawing Now Art Fair (Paris), DRAW Space (Sydney), Manifest Gallery (Ohio), Canning Gallery (London), B74 Raum für Kunst (Lucerne), Fundação Eugénio de Almeida (Évora), The Copper Dollar Studios (Brighton), the Setouchi Triennale (Takamatsu), Tate Exchange (London), among others, as well as at reference institutions in the Canary Islands such as Tenerife Espacio de las Artes and Centro de Arte La Regenta.
Cultural manager, musicologist, and consultant with a career focused on managing artistic and cultural projects. Her experience spans artistic residencies, the music industry, visual arts, festivals, and citizen participation projects. She holds a degree in Musicology from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid and a degree in Cultural Management from ICCMU (Madrid). She has collaborated with organizations such as Matadero Madrid, Consonni Ediciones, IED Innovation Lab, Elefant Records, Zuloark, and various independent cultural initiatives.
