2025_FESTIVAL

In 2025, Phe Festival has been recognized by second consecutive year as one of the most sustainable festivals in Spain by obtaining the certification A Greener Future (AGF). This achievement is a tribute to our 11 years of commitment to the environment and our beloved home, Puerto de la Cruz.

This year 2026 we will go through the AGF audit again. It is an effort that involves reviewing and measuring our impact, from waste management and energy consumption to mobility and many other aspects of festival production.

An alliance for our forests. This year we are taking another step in our commitment to the environment and joining, for the first time, a reforestation project of the Canary Islands forests together with the Foresta Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the recovery, conservation, and maintenance of the islands' forests. With each new planting, they help recover and protect the valuable natural heritage of the Canary Islands.

How can you join? At the end of the festival, when you return your reusable cup, you can choose between getting your one-euro deposit back or donating it to Fundación Foresta. For every cup returned for the cause, we will donate one euro to reforestation projects.

Since its creation, Phe Festival it has chosen to integrate social commitment into the heart of its cultural proposal, promoting participation, diversity, and the care of people as central elements of its identity.

For the second consecutive year, we collaborate with AFES Salud Mental, this year, furthermore, our team has received a specialized training, delivered by the AFES team and adapted to the festival context, to continue moving towards a more inclusive space.

As part of this commitment, we also incorporated for the first time a sensory rest area inside the venue, designed to offer a space for calm and rest during the festival.

It is an honor for us to display the seal once again #CulturaQueCuida.

What we do at the festival

At Phe Festival we understand sustainability as a commitment that goes beyond the environmental sphere. It also involves taking care of people, promoting inclusion, supporting the social fabric and contributing positively to our environment. For this reason, we collaborate with various associations and entities that, in areas such as mental health, inclusion, prevention and environmental restoration, help us build a more accessible, safe, supportive festival committed to the Canary Islands.

AFES MENTAL HEALTH

We continue working alongside AFES Salud Mental to move toward a cultural environment that takes into account the well-being and mental health of everyone involved in the festival. In this edition, the collaboration has included specific training aimed at the staff, designed to improve the understanding of mental health and to provide practical tools to identify, prevent, and adequately handle different situations that may arise during the event.

As a result of this work, Phe Festival will also feature a space conceived as a rest and sensory regulation zone for those people who need to temporarily get away from the festival's own stimulation.

Furthermore, AFES has once again recognized our commitment by granting Phe Festival the “Culture that Cares” quality seal”, which highlights the work done to promote cultural spaces that are more mindful, inclusive, and respectful of mental health. During the festival, the organization will also be present to share information and raise awareness about this reality.
TENERIFE MEDICAL STUDENTS ASSOCIATION (AEMTE) We are renewing our collaboration with the Tenerife Medical Students Association (AEMTE), through its SCORSA section, which specializes in sexual health and HIV prevention. Their presence at the festival will once again take the form of an informational booth where awareness-raising and educational activities will be carried out, as well as the free distribution of
condoms and informational materials on the prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

SINPROMI

Phe Festival is once again partnering with SINPROMI, a public company of the Cabildo of Tenerife dedicated to promoting the labor inclusion of people with disabilities. Through this alliance, various workers will be integrated into different areas and teams of the festival, contributing to creating opportunities for labor participation and building a more inclusive and accessible event.

FORESTA FOUNDATION

This year we began a new collaboration with Fundación Foresta, a Canary Islands non-profit entity dedicated since 1998 to the restoration, conservation, and maintenance of the archipelago's forest mass. Its work includes reforestation and environmental restoration actions, as well as conservation, maintenance, and awareness-raising initiatives that seek to involve society in the protection and recovery of the Canary Islands' natural heritage.
Through this collaboration, Phe Festival will allocate resources to support restoration and reforestation actions in the Canary Islands. The initiative will help offset a portion of the carbon footprint associated with the festival and, at the same time, generate a direct positive impact in the Canary Islands through the recovery and restoration of natural spaces.

What you can do

At the end of the festival you will find a reusable cup drop-off area. Instead of taking it home or returning it for a refund, you can turn your cup into a contribution to the region: for each cup donated, €1 will go to the Foresta Foundation to support restoration and reforestation actions in the Canary Islands.

With a simple gesture, you will contribute not only to offsetting part of the environmental impact generated by the festival, but also to the recovery of natural spaces and the conservation of the Canary Islands' forest heritage.

What we do at the festival

We want getting to Phe Festival to be easy, comfortable, and above all, an opportunity to reduce the impact associated with travel. That is why we encourage the use of alternatives to private vehicles and provide different options to reach the venue.

Get to Phe in the most sustainable way you can. This year we are collaborating again with TITSA to facilitate your arrival by bus from different parts of Tenerife. Check the lines, routes, and timetables before leaving and plan your trip in advance.

Do you prefer to come by taxi? Use the available taxi ranks in Puerto de la Cruz and arrange your pickup in advance. You can contact the taxi service from Puerto de la Cruz at +34 633 90 90 06, with departures from Plaza del Charco.

If you are staying in Puerto de la Cruz, come on foot. Especially if you have booked one of our vacation packages, take advantage of the venue's proximity and leave the car parked.

You can also come in bicycle or scooter: you will find a designated space to park them during the festival.

What you can do

Choose the best way to get there. Not all transportation options have the same impact. Whenever possible, prioritize:

What we do at the festival

We invite you to carpool to get to Phe. Carpooling means fewer cars on the road and, therefore, fewer emissions, less traffic congestion, and less pressure on parking. To make it easier, this year we have Canarigo as the official carpooling platform for Phe Festival, where you can publish your trip if you have available seats or look for a ride that matches your route. Canarigo allows drivers and passengers who are taking similar trips to connect and share travel expenses.

What we do at the festival

We are working to make our festival more and more sustainable.
This year the event will be completely free of single-use plastics:

  • Reusable and returnable cups will be available.
  • Each bar will have water fountains that replace plastic bottles.
  • All food stall tableware will be sustainable.
  • We collaborate with vendors and markets to avoid unnecessary packaging and disposable products.

Additionally, we are reinforcing our recycling plan:

  • We will install clearly marked bins for packaging (yellow), paper and cardboard (blue), and residual waste (gray).
  • We have agreements with specialized companies that guarantee responsible waste management.
  • In smoking areas, you'll find ashtrays for proper cigarette butt disposal.

What you can do

Your help is key

  • Bring your own reusable cup or use the festival's returnable ones.
  • At the end of the event, if you don't want to take it with you, return it at one of our bars or donate the euro for your cup to our social causes.
  • Deposit each waste item in the corresponding bin.
  • Smoke only in designated areas.


With small gestures, we achieve a cleaner and more sustainable festival.

What we do at the festival

Taking care of water is a priority.

We guarantee access to free drinking water for attendees and staff, promoting responsible consumption and eliminating single-use plastic bottles.

We implement conservation systems at all water points in the facility and in cleaning processes. We also ensure proper management of wastewater to protect marine biodiversity.

At the close of the event, we calculated part of our water footprint by considering the kilograms of food consumed (especially meat), the liters of water sold to the public, and the liters used in the venue's various operational tasks.

What you can do

Ask for free water at any of our bars and consume it responsibly: use only what you need and avoid waste. With small.

What we do at the festival

At Phe Festival we work to reduce our impact on the climate, starting with measure, reduce, and, when possible, offset part of our greenhouse gas emissions.

In the last edition, we calculated our carbon footprint. Based on the results obtained, we have implemented various measures to keep our emissions under control and reduce them whenever possible.

In 2026, Furthermore, we are taking it a step further and offsetting part of our carbon footprint for the first time through the Foresta Foundation, contributing to forest ecosystem restoration and recovery projects in the Canary Islands.
These are some of the actions we carry out:

● We prioritize local suppliers and materials, reducing unnecessary travel and transport.

● We reuse infrastructure and assembly elements to avoid the consumption of new materials.

● We manage waste efficiently, promoting prevention, reuse, recycling, and the circular economy.

● We measure our carbon footprint to understand our impact and guide reduction actions.

● We offset part of the generated emissions, supporting forest restoration initiatives through Fundación Foresta.

Our goal is that each edition allows us to move towards a festival model with a smaller climate footprint, acting first on our emissions and complementing these efforts with offsetting actions.

What we do at the festival

At Phe Festival, we are committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Agenda Canaria 2030. Among them is SDG 15: Life on Land. Our priority is to protect the biodiversity and care for the natural and marine environment that surrounds us. To achieve this, we implement concrete measures:

  • We conducted a preliminary study of sensitive areas to ensure their protection during the event.
  • We reduce noise and light pollution through specific plans and technical assessments before each edition.
  • We adequately control and manage all discharges and waste, in coordination with the City Council and our authorized service providers.

What you can do

Your collaboration is essential for caring for our environment:

  • Respect the marine and terrestrial ecosystems that surround the festival.
  • Do not throw waste into the sea or onto the ground: always use recycling bins.
  • Make sure to properly dispose of your waste so it can't blow away in the wind and end up on the coast or in the ocean.
With your help, we made Phe Festival a space that also protects the nature that hosts us.

What we do at the festival

At Phe Festival we work to ensure that all people can enjoy the festival on equal terms, promoting an accessible, inclusive, safe, and discrimination-free environment.

Our commitment to accessibility includes both the removal of physical barriers and attention to the diverse needs of the people attending the festival.

Therefore, the facility has reserved and accessible areas for people with reduced mobility (PRM), accessible itineraries, ramps and adapted bathrooms. In addition, we have a accessibility service point (Accessible Phe), where people can request information and support during the festival, as well as accompaniment to the PRM area when needed.

We also incorporate measures aimed at people with different sensory needs, such as a sensory rest area and the availability of cearplugs and earplugs, to facilitate a more comfortable and personalized experience for each person.

Our team receives training and has specific guidelines to provide proper care and ensure that accessibility measures are integrated into the festival's operations.

Young people from 12 to 30 years can enjoy a 25 % discount with the European Youth Card.

● Respect the minors' access rules and the established instructions to ensure your safety.

What we do at the festival

In this edition, All Stage V generator sets will be powered 100% by HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil), a renewable biofuel that
allows for a significant reduction in emissions associated with fuel consumption.

What's more, The machinery used during the festival's assembly will also be powered by HVO, expanding the use of more sustainable fuels to the different production phases of the event.

Whenever power requirements and technical conditions allow, we prioritize the use of the public power grid, thus reducing the need to use electricity generation from temporary equipment and taking advantage of an electricity supply with a greater presence of renewable sources.

What we do at the festival

We prioritize responsible and sustainable purchasing, avoiding unnecessary acquisitions through rentals and material reuse. We favor local suppliers, thereby reducing transportation emissions, and select products designed with ecological criteria and long lifespans. This year, furthermore, our event will be 100% Plastic-Free, reaffirming our commitment to waste reduction. In the same vein, the merchandising products have been consciously designed, using eco-friendly, resistant, and durable materials

Likewise, we maintain a constant effort of awareness and collaboration with our suppliers, encouraging them to integrate more environmentally friendly practices into their purchasing and supply processes.
