Tenerife Phe Festival 2026 reinforces its identity as a sustainable event in its eleventh edition, held in Puerto de la Cruz with two days of live music on September 4 and 5. A commitment to sustainability that is endorsed this year by the new A Greener Future (AGF) certification, prestigious British auditing firm specializing in sustainability for international festivals and cultural events, following a comprehensive evaluation of the 2025 edition. An accolade that further solidifies the festival as a benchmark for sustainability within the Canary Islands' cultural landscape, reinforcing a trajectory marked by environmental, social, and community commitment.
The commitment is also shown in the programming of parallel activities for Tenerife Phe Festival, which PheXperiences, what is celebrated during the Port festival week, and which in this edition once again connects culture, gastronomy, and local produce with Phe Wine, wine tasting and the presence of wineries from the Island in the festival's dining area; the massive gathering Phe Yoga, which is celebrating its seventh edition on Saturday, September 5th, as a healthy leisure proposal: or the free visits to the Teide Observatory organized in collaboration with the Astrophysics Institute of the Canary Islands (IAC) with the aim of bringing astronomy and scientific research to the general public.
Yoga, nutrition, and wellness
On Saturday, September 5, Puerto de la Cruz hosts one of the most participatory healthy leisure events in the parallel activities program of Tenerife Phe Festival: Phe Yoga. From 10:00 to 14:00, the seventh edition of this gathering is held with four proposals in this discipline: Ashtanga, Asana Lab, Black Lotus and Yin Yoga. The dynamics of the seventh Phe Yoga call begin at 10:00 a.m. with Ashtanga – Progressive Practice, which will be led by Ari (El Árbol Terapias Naturales). A session focused on discipline, vigor, and the awakening of internal energy through conscious movement. This is followed, at 11:00 hours, Asana Lab – Alignment and Technique, with technical direction by Elena (The Yoga House). A workshop designed for precise alignment, conscious technique, and mechanical understanding of the body. At 12:00 hours will be the session of Black Lotus - High Intensity Movement, with Ari (El Árbol Terapias Naturales). A high-intensity, introspective session with rhythmic movements that connects the discipline of yoga with the energy of the festival environment. The closing of this day, starting at 1:00 p.m., is with a session of Yin Yoga – Energy HarmonizationElena will guide the stillness of Yin Yoga, while Yasmina will provide an immersive sonic accompaniment. This sensory synergy guarantees deep relaxation and a harmonious close to the physical experience amidst Himalayan and quartz singing bowls, gongs, and drums.
In this edition, Phe Yoga is launching a new outreach space dedicated to nutrition and comprehensive well-being with the recording of a podcast hosted by Santi Estévez with the participation of expert guests in the field.
Culture and local product
Phe Wine It is one of the organization's commitments that regains prominence in this edition. A proposal that connects culture, gastronomy, and local produce with a selection of Tenerife wines that the public will be able to discover within the festival grounds in the Wine Garden area, in addition to a series of preliminary tastings in collaborating venues of the festival in Puerto de la Cruz. An invitation to taste Tenerife with wines from the Valle de La Orotava Designation of Origin from the Arautava, Suertes del Marques, 300 Lios, and Las Galanas wineries, as well as the Loher winery, from the Tacoronte-Acentejo Designation of Origin, and the López Palacios winery.
On Wednesday, September 2, starting at 7:30 p.m., Phe Wine invites the public to participate in an interactive tasting with four wines selected for the occasion by Phe Wine and a workshop where attendees can take home their personalized bottle. Scientific outreach
Tenerife's Phe Festival is once again looking to the skies alongside the Canary Islands Astrophysics Institute (IAC). This is the third year that the IAC has collaborated with the festival through free activities that will allow attendees to discover the Teide Observatory on an exclusive visit. The initiative is part of the IAC's outreach strategy to bring scientific knowledge to all types of audiences in non-specialized forums or those far removed from scientific research.
This collaboration will allow people with a ticket for Phe Festival to participate for free in guided tours of the Teide Observatory, an opportunity to get a close-up look at its facilities, telescopes, and research projects guided by specialized staff. The tours will last approximately 90 minutes and will take place in the morning on August 31, September 2, and September 3 at 10:00 a.m. with very limited capacity. A responsible and supportive festival
The described activities, among other actions, help strengthen the commitment of Tenerife Phe Festival to continue moving towards a responsible festival model, aligned with environmental and social values, and likewise contributing to projecting Puerto de la Cruz and the Canary Islands as destinations committed to sustainable tourism.
The second certification A Greener Future that Phe Festival has received this year was granted following an independent evaluation process that analyzed multiple areas of the event's impact, such as waste management, water consumption, energy and CO2 emissions, accessibility, transportation, the use of local suppliers, and integration with the environment. During the 2025 edition, the AGF evaluation team conducted an analysis in situ during the event, verifying the correct implementation of sustainable measures and compliance with the standards required by the entity.
Furthermore, this certification is also endorsed by social and inclusive actions undertaken by Tenerife Phe Festival, such as financial collaboration with the animal rescue association ADEPAC, and with entities like AFES Salud Mental and SINPROMI.
In this context, it should be noted that the organization of Tenerife Phe Festival has decided to make a solidarity gesture toward the population of Venezuela in the face of the humanitarian emergency caused by the earthquake that struck the country at the end of last June, with an initial contribution of 2,000 euros and a percentage of the revenue obtained from ticket sales since the beginning of the catastrophe. The funds raised will be channeled through the Spanish Emergency Committee, an alliance that brings together the main humanitarian organizations.
Gender diversity in the artistic poster
At the Tenerife Phe Festival 2026, women and gender-diverse individuals make up a significant portion of the musical lineup: of the 18 live music projects, 10 feature female and/or non-binary performers, representing 55.6 % of the lineup. In terms of projects led by women or featuring a particularly significant female presence, highlights include Ibibio Sound Machine, led by Eno Williams; Xerach, a project by Canarian composer and producer Xerach Peñate; Natalia Doco and Ona Mafalda, both led by women; and Rufus T. Firefly, with Julia Martín-Maestro making up 50 % of the lineup; Bodega, with Nikki Belfiglio on vocals and samplers; ARXX, a duo made up of two members of the LGBTQ+ community—a woman and a non-binary person—; as well as Fat Dog, Carlos Ares, and VVV [Trippin’ You], which include women in their lineups.
At Phe Club, the third stage dedicated to electronic music, diversity is also evident: of the eleven projects on the lineup, six feature female artists and/or are mixed-gender groups, accounting for 54.5 % of the lineup. Among them are Mostany, a woman-led project; Just Beca & Candela, Isla Sonido, Emma Play & Mr Paradise, and La Brega, a collective linked to the LGBTQI+ scene that brings together a man and a woman. In addition, the Sun Dance Family Sessions, which kick off the music lineup on Friday the 4th and Saturday the 5th, feature four women: DJs Dita Konnat and Bliss, along with artists Koset Talavera and Yaiza Martinón.
