It was the night of the confirmation. After a week of previous activities, music finally arrived at Phe. And he did it to close the circle in the best possible way. The weather accompanied (with intense heat in the early hours of the afternoon), the artists and answered the public. And so, with this propitious setting, the Puerto de la Cruz event did what it does best: create a picture of good times.
Ph is something more than music. Like the great festivals, it begins to become a whole Vital experience. And that shows in the faces of the public and the artists. There is communion, there is happiness, there is a small world full of sensations.
The esplanade of the Porto wharf was dressed with stalls as flea market, gastronomy, rest areas, skate ramps… all as a complement to a crowded festive day, with a large audience (thousands) and delivered. One of the great successes of that 2018 edition was 'discovering' for the Tenerife public Nathy Peluso. She, who, however, had already triumphed as soon as she appeared on stage. Soul and heart, overwhelming personality and a courage and artistic versatility that leads him to go from rap, jazz, salsa as if he were inventing each style at all times. It was the exotic note of the festival, a unique artist who at 22 is already universal and who leaves the feeling of only taking the first steps of a long career.
The night built bridges towards its conclusion with another good dose of personality: The Killer Swing. The band from Pamplona were perhaps the most anticipated band on this first day of the festival and they delivered and took Phe to its highest levels.
