The collective exhibition opens on Friday, August 2, at 9:00 p.m., with the work of 18 artists from the current Canarian scene
The fourth edition of Phe Festival will bring a set of fresh, unique and original artistic proposals to Puerto de la Cruz in August. In anticipation of this encounter with music and trends, it has organized a program of cultural activities at the Castillo San Felipe Cultural Space that begin with the inauguration on the 2nd of PheGallery, a group show that brings together the work of 18 artists, among which are emerging creators and references in the current Canarian scene.
The opening will take place at 9:00 p.m. and includes a performance (live painting) by Victor Pacheco (Kob) and a selection of the 'drawings' of bejo, who participates as a guest artist, in addition to a music session abroad by The cursed and some more surprises. With this exhibition, curated by Alex Letto, the festival once again shows its involvement and commitment to the values of the creative community it represents.
Until August 24, the different spaces of the Castillo San Felipe Cultural Space will show painting works by Cristóbal Tabares, Fernando Miñarro, Carmen Clogon, Greta Chicheri, Lía Ateca, Mariana Palomino, Pablo Falcón and Left Martínez; installations by artists such as Adassa Santana, Yosi Negrín, Laura Herranz & Óscar Latuag and Ducttape; or the sculpture of Dion Blake (sculpture/installation), Juan Carlos Batista and Ohiane de Felipe; in addition to the photographic work of Lucía Bellini & Magali Brincat, Ian Paulo Cazorla and Seigar. Pieces developed by creators committed to the project and the most current art, selected from an open call.
The idea is to bring both the citizen and the visitor closer to the most current artistic and social proposals from a relaxed approach. PheGallery It thus becomes a platform for generating cultural and social actions to bring creativity and innovation closer to all audiences and increase the experience of their enjoyment, with culture as an accelerator of the sustainable development of the Tourist City. The program will continue on the first weekend of August with a training and informative day.
Phe Festival thus, it maintains the cultural proposals that it has been developing as an added value to the concerts, which in this edition will be held on August 23 and 24 in the venue installed on the esplanade of the Puerto de la Cruz wharf, with a poster of artists that highlights important national and international references such as depedro, We Are Scientists, Caroline During, crazy beach, arizona baby, Angel Stanich or The Punsets.
