The fourth edition of Phe Gallery opens its doors at the Castillo de San Felipe

The collective exhibition is part of the parallel activities of Phe Festival and brings together the work of 17 artists from the Canarian scene

The fourth edition of Phe Gallery opens its doors to the public this Friday, July 30, at 8:00 p.m., at the Castillo San Felipe Cultural Space. The exhibition, which is part of the parallel activities of Phe Festival, brings together the work of 17 artists who propose a reflection on the reality that surrounds us using different creative techniques.

In keeping with the values promoted by the festival since its first edition, the exhibition seeks to put current creation in contact with the citizens and visitors of Puerto de la Cruz. In the words of the mayor, Marco González, “the Phe Gallery exhibitions leave no one indifferent and in them we have found opportunities for new talents, a boost for those artists who with this exhibition resume their creative activity, but above all the fact itself of Being part of a collective of these characteristics consolidates the commitment of a music and trends festival that allows creators to meet in a contradictory space, which departs from its historical use as a defense of the city, to be a place of freedom. and of creation”.

As a platform for disseminating current art made in the Canary Islands, this collective exhibition of Phe Festival offers an open space for meeting and dialogue, thus collaborating with the promotion of culture as a factor of sustainable development in Puerto de la Cruz. The general director of Youth of the Government of the Canary Islands, Laura Fuentes Vega, expresses herself in this line, pointing out that "culture must be part of the backbone of a new economic development, of our necessary productive diversification and part of the recovery after the crisis health, social and economic life that we live”. “Youth – adds Fuentes Vega – must be the center of that culture, of the future, of the fabric that makes us move forward in a sustainable way”.
