The organization and the City Council project an exhaustive protocol for access and development of the concerts at the Municipal Stadium El Peñón

With the commitment to guarantee maximum safety for both the public and the artists and workers, Ph 2020 the days are celebrated August 21 and 22 at the El Peñón Municipal Stadium. This is a fifth edition in a new context, adapted to the new health circumstances, and with an exhaustive protocol to ensure that attendees can enjoy live music in facilities where they feel protected.

"We present a festival as safe as culture itself," said the mayor of Puerto de la Cruz, Marco González, who presided over an extraordinary meeting of the security and emergency device this morning to monitor the self-protection plan of the event. Said document complies “scrupulously with the current legal framework” and contemplates a complete protocol to reduce the risk of transmission of the coronavirus, its chief editor, Aythami Saavedra Martel, of the Gesemecri company, explained at the subsequent press conference.

The mayor and councilor for Culture stressed that "there is no data with which culture can be linked to the situation of outbreaks" of the current coronavirus, and insisted that, although Phe Festival faces "its most complex edition" , does so with the guarantees of "important adaptation work" that is unrelated to any "illegal party or bottle."

Words to which Aythami Saavedra, responsible for the Security, Self-protection and Anti-contagion Plan, joined, stating that "Phe is a safe festival because there is a lot of planning work behind it, with highly qualified personnel in the sector". In this way, the Phe 2020 self-protection plan is based on three pillars: the public, "responsible, adult, who in no previous edition has had uncivil behavior" and who this year will be "an example of collaboration and responsibility"; companies that participate in organizational processes, "a guarantee of success in terms of management capacity"; and lastly, the security and emergency device, which this year will double its efforts.

Ulises Salazar, co-director of Phe Festival, added that for the organization it is a top priority to guarantee the well-being of the public, artists and the entire team involved, while promoting the image of Puerto de la Cruz as a "safe and attractive destination." .

Among the organization, safety and hygiene measures adopted to promote the enjoyment of the festival experience, the venue will be divided into two areas: one with a stall of chairs with an external reinforcement of stands as an amphitheater in front of the stage, where the public will remain sitting, keeping a safe distance; and another restaurant where you can have a drink and access the gastronomic and cocktail offer. The seats will be pre-assigned, by coexistence nuclei –for which attendees are asked for a declaration of responsibility– which guarantees traceability. The allocation of locations is done through the company Tickety, which has implemented a system for this purpose.

As a novelty, this year Phe Festival incorporates the mandatory use of cashless bracelets that, on the one hand, allow strict control of capacity and, on the other hand, prevents the circulation of cash, an important detail to reduce the risk of possible infections . The event will also have continuous monitoring of capacity through a scoreboard that will be installed at the gate of the venue.

Access

Access to the El Peñón Municipal Stadium will be done in an orderly and progressive manner, avoiding crowds. This year there will be "a reinforcement of the security and emergency device from the time the ticket is purchased or validated at the box office until the exit," explained Aythami Saavedra. Signage will be available at the Phe 2020 concert venue to organize the movement of people in a circular manner, for which there will also be service personnel and adequate information. Temperature control will also be carried out by the Red Cross, like the rest of the health device.

All attendees must wear a mask at all times and keep the current safety distance. When leaving the premises, the procedure will also be staggered and following the instructions of the staff.

The capacity will be limited to 75% of the infrastructure and there will be continuous cleaning and disinfection of the different spaces. Likewise, in the assembly, the precise instructions of the technical companies will be complied with to preserve safety and comply with sanitary measures.
