Phe Sports: sport and summer hand in hand in Puerto de la Cruz

With prizes valued at more than €5,000, the winners will travel to the O Marisquiño Festival in 2020, one of the most important urban culture and action sports festivals in the country

The fourth edition of Phe Festival, an appointment with music and trends in Puerto de la Cruz, which this year is celebrated on August 23 and 24, expands its summer entertainment offer, increasing its commitment to urban and alternative sports. Phe Sports will bring together fans and professionals of skateboarding and BMX in a program that grows in days and activities and that includes the Phe Experiences with which even non-experts can enjoy the sport under the sun of Puerto de la Cruz.

In addition, by participating in Phe Sports you can travel to the O Marisquiño Festival in 2020, one of the most important urban culture and action sports festivals in the country. The four prizes, valued at more than €5,000, include registration and transfer to Vigo, apart from other gifts provided by sponsors and collaborating stores.

From Thursday 22nd to Saturday 24th August in the surroundings of Plaza Escultor Ángel Acosta and the fishing pier. Thus, on Thursday, August 22, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the 'Vans Skate & BMX Cup' will take place within the Phe Sports program for this 2019. There are four categories included in this regional championship: male, female, under 16 years old and BMX.

The maximum spectacularity will arrive Friday, August 23 at the fishing dock with 'Aqualia Water Jump', a competition of acrobatic jumps in which BMX riders jump into the sea from a ramp located on the pier. The activity will begin at 11 in the morning and will last until 4:00 p.m.

Phe Sports brings sport closer to the public of the festival as well as to the citizens of Puerto de la Cruz, which is why from Thursday 22nd to Saturday 24th August we offer experiences in the form of introductory workshops on skateboarding and BMX, as well as other related activities in the aquatic environment such as surfing and paddle surfing. Both experts and people not initiated in these sports will have a modern and up-to-date space in which to practice. Acquiring any of these experiences, available at the price of €5 on the platform tickety.es and in the enclosure itself, it will be possible to use the facilities and there will be an expert monitor who will guide people who come to practice for the first time.
