Conceived as a circuit for live music Phe Club anticipates in room format the spirit of the Puerto de la Cruz festival
Phe Festival opens in club format this Friday, March 22, starting at 9:30 p.m., in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. the controversial twilight joe headlines the poster of this first party, which also has as guests other referents such as Em DJ and Mr Paradise, to which are added the direct from the canaries Bern and The cursed.
Phe Club is a proposal of music and trends that will continue in the coming months with the intention of keeping the spirit of Phe active without waiting for the great summer festival event in Tenerife, which will celebrate its fourth edition this year on August 23 and 24 in Puerto de la Cruz and its first confirmed artists are Ángel Stanich, Carolina Durante, Los Punsetes, Delaporte, Locoplaya, Cariño and GAF and the Death Star.
The proposal has a club vocation, to be carried out as a non-virtual extension of the community plowwer, made up of followers, faithful sympathizers of the playful and uninhibited spirit that the festival has promoted since its inception. With dance as the head of its objectives, it will bring together outstanding artists on the national scene, beyond their music and the aesthetics they practice, and also considering DJs and selectors as indicators of cultural avant-garde.
Phe Club will count for its appointment on Friday, March 22 at the O-Club in Santa Cruz de Tenerife with one of the most controversial and personal figures on the Spanish indie scene, twilight joe. His characteristic voice and his unique and inimitable pop will celebrate in Tenerife the ten years in the music world of this cult artist with great hits and dance anthems. Together with him, Em DJ, or Marta Fierro, one of the artists most important in the indie-disco scene in Spain. Galician remixer, activist, writer and producer of dance music, will arrive with disco sessions, indie, beats, dance & house music.
Also one of the selectors with a great career behind him and a regular on the Islands, Mr Paradise, will be part of the poster of this first Phe Club party. In his sessions, versatile music stands out with disco, soulful, house, funk, roots, electronic, hip hop, afrobeat, soul, reggae or tropical bass as the common thread and whose course is set by the feed back with the public.
Added to them are two top-level Canarian references, Bern and The cursed. Complex character, musician, singer, composer, and plastic artist, Berna Acosta, better known as Bern is characterized by the singularity of its proposal, in which talent and personality are recognized. In this appointment with phellowers, Berna will perform songs that are part of her new project: dream pop, chillwave, electronic folk, worldbeat or jazz are just a few notes of this musical cocktail which also highlights some texts that, without pretending to be revealing, show us the chiaroscuro of society hypermediated in which we currently live. Guile Concepción, La Maldita, began his career in Madrid and in Tenerife he has stood out with hisSessions full of fast mixes and diverse styles in which he is able to mix from the most tropical to hip hop, passing through old school, rock and drum n' bass.
As an extension of Phe Festival, this project opens up new enjoyment options for its public throughout the year, and thus becomes a club circuit capable of integrating labels such as indie, rock, dance, urban, electronic... Phe Club will then travel through Puerto de la Cruz (May 31), Arrecife (June 1), La Laguna (July 5) and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (July 6). Among the groups and artists confirmed for these meetings are references such as Hidrogenesse, Los Vinagres, Siloé or We Are Not Dj's.
