Puerto de la Cruz and Phe Festival launch for the fourth consecutive year the exhibition of current emerging art
Puerto de la Cruz and Phe Festival organize for the fourth consecutive year Phe Gallery, an open call for creators to present artistic projects in different formats, which will be shown to the public in the collective exhibition that will take place at the Castillo San Felipe Cultural Space from the beginning of August as part of the programming of the 2021 edition of the festival.
Phe Gallery is a platform for disseminating current art made in the Canary Islands, generating creative and social actions to bring cultural innovation closer to all audiences. It offers an open meeting and dialogue space for emerging artists from the islands, thus collaborating with the promotion of culture as a factor of sustainable development in Puerto de la Cruz. Its objective is to serve as a means to give visibility and dissemination to projects by new authors or groups that reflect mainly on the urban and the social.
As in previous editions, the call is aimed at residents of the Islands who present an exhibition project suitable for the Castillo San Felipe Cultural Space and the identity of Phe Festival in any format: painting, sculpture, graffiti, installations, photography, illustration, video art, performance. Curated by Alex Leto and The C Project collective, the exhibition will be made up of approximately 20 proposals, depending on the formats and other determining factors of the space. Interested persons can send their dossier in digital format along with personal data to gallery@phefestival.com before June 1.
