The collective exhibition, integrated into the programming of the fifth edition of Phe Festival, can be visited from August 7 to 29 at the Castillo San Felipe Cultural Space
The 2020 edition of Phe Gallery, which will take place from August 7 to 29 at the Castillo San Felipe Cultural Space, will feature 17 artistic projects involving 21 emerging artists from the Canary Islands. The group show kicks off the programming of the fifth edition of Phe Festival in Puerto de la Cruz incorporating a selection of the proposals submitted to the open call held in April, which registered more than 60 participants.
The exhibition, which is curated by Alex Leto (The Cultural Mag) and The C Project collective, includes proposals for painting, sculpture, graffiti, installations, photography or illustration by artists and collective projects such as Víctor Reyes, 33'3, Teresa Cabrera, Rebecka Skog, Paulina Mocna , Martina Armas Valero, Makarrón, Idaira del Castillo, Héctor Mar, Daniel Jordán, Emma J. Bach, Deva River, Daniel Rietti, Claudia Melchor, Cayetana H. Cuyás, Carpantea Collective, Candela Daltónica.
With this group show, it is intended, in an ephemeral and direct way, to approach current reality and produce an artistic focus on Cross port for the enjoyment of tourists and the local public, whether or not it is habitual in this type of cultural manifestations. The fundamental objective of Phe Gallery is encourage innovation and creativity showing works that maintain an urban and social discourse. It is, in this sense, a commitment of the festival with the creative community of the Canary Islands, and also with the municipality that hosts it, with culture as a reinforcement of sustainable development.
Integrated into the 2020 Cultural Strategy promoted by the Puerto de la Cruz Culture area, Phe Festival is organized and directed by Phenomenal Studio and Imoa Productions and is promoted by the Puerto de la Cruz City Council.
