Competitions and exhibitions of urban sports are some of the attractions of the programming of Phe Festival, the music and trends festival that celebrates its seventh edition this week in Puerto de la Cruz. The summer event becomes strong in the sports calendar of the archipelago with the celebration of the regional skate and BMX championship and shows of urban sports that bring together numerous fans and participants from all the islands.

In BMX, Jaime González, in the Elite modality, Daniel Muñoz, in the Rookie modality, Jorge Delgado, in sub-10 and Ancor Santana in sub-16, took first place in the exciting event held at the skatepark in San Antony inside Phe Urban Sports. The spectacular skate contest, whose winners were Mohammed Ben Ali in Open and Stefano Mandozzi in under-16 was also the other highlight of the sports day.

Second and third place in Elite BMX went to Andrés Lainevool and Bruno Aguirre. Fabián Andrés and Osel Ferrer completed the podium. In the Rookie, Infantile and sub-16 categories, Héctor González, Paula Peña and Félix Socorro climbed the steps. In skate, the second and third classified were Jorge García and Raúl Hans in Open and Pablo Martín and Aaron Abreu in sub-16. In the first category, Kehiny Ojeda, Jonathan Rodríguez and Daniel Álvarez were also rewarded for their fourth, fifth and sixth prizes.

The tests took place between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. and the prizes distributed consisted of an economic prize for the first three classified in the Elite and Open categories and sports equipment for the rest of the classifieds.

The large public attending was able to verify the high level of the competitors, in a day that left great moments and that confirms the growing popularity of this type of sports among the youngest. Tomorrow, Phe Festival has scheduled a roller dance exhibition at the fishing dock by Canary Roller Dance, striking waterline tricks in a slackline tape with the Slackline Association and also the return of one of the most fun and anticipated shows, the III BMX Aqualia Water Jump, which will return to Puerto de la Cruz after a year of absence.

Phe Urban Sports is an urban action development activity of Phe Festival, organized and directed by Phe Team, and has the support of the Puerto de la Cruz City Council and the Fundación Canaria de Juventud Ideo. Among the outstanding collaborators are Aqualia and Vans.
