The cause of this metamorphosis is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/puertostreetart\/\"><b>port street art<\/b><\/a>, a project that has taken advantage of the charm of the different spaces, their history and that of those who live there to rewrite the <strong>cultural and innovative character<\/strong> Township. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Sprays and brushes that draw figurative and abstract shapes and colors with which different artists integrate their <strong>vindictive messages or artistic visions<\/strong> in the gray of the urban landscape. Behind each one of the works of art that are exhibited in the tourist city there are several stories, that of the artist, that of the citizens of the place that welcomes them and that of the relationship that is established between all of them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"http:\/\/phefestival.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Puerto-street-art.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-653 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/phefestival.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Puerto-street-art-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Puerto street art\" width=\"302\" height=\"201\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If you are one of the lucky ones who will enjoy on August 6, <a href=\"http:\/\/phefestival.com\/\"><b>Phe Festival<\/b><\/a>, the concert more <em>cool<\/em> of the summer, write down in your agenda a walk to discover the <strong>urban art<\/strong> of Puerto de la Cruz. Because taking selfies on the beach with Teide in the background is cool, but going through the city like a detective, in search of the best photo of graffiti, interventions or murals, is priceless. You won&#039;t find enough filters or apps for your images!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Exhibitions throughout the city<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"http:\/\/phefestival.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Ro.Ro_1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-651 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/phefestival.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Ro.Ro_1-300x145.jpg\" alt=\"Ro.Ro_1\" width=\"300\" height=\"145\" \/><\/a>It was a natural process. <b>port street art<\/b> started in Puerto de la Cruz as a <strong>pilot project<\/strong> with the aim of improving the appearance of some facades in the neighborhood of La Ranilla, and was promoted by the Urban Development Consortium for the Rehabilitation of Puerto de la Cruz, together with the Department of Culture and the Department of Urban Planning of the Puerto de la Cruz City Council. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">But the transition from urban intervention to &quot;multidisciplinary open-air museum&quot; came from the hand of well-known cultural events organized by the City Council, such as the <\/span><span class=\"s3\">International Street Art Festival of Puerto de la Cruz, <a href=\"\/en\/?p=237\"><b>Mueca<\/b><\/a>, and the <\/span><span class=\"s4\"><b>festival<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\"> International Travel and Adventure Literature of Puerto de la Cruz, <b>journey<\/b>, and what in its beginnings was an initiative to dissipate the gray and the abandonment of buildings and streets, today is a <strong>explosion of color that has filled the city with ephemeral art<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">And the transformation continues. Just like when you visit the Reina Sof\u00eda Museum, the Tate Modern, the Guggenheim in Bilbao or the MoMA, in the open-air museum in Puerto de la Cruz you will find up to <strong>five rooms<\/strong> structured according to the different<strong> artistic disciplines<\/strong> that have become part of the collection of <strong>port street art<\/strong>: in Room 1 you will find <strong>road interventions<\/strong>; in Room 2, <strong>sculpture on facade<\/strong>; in Room 3,\u00a0<strong>mural interventions<\/strong>; Room 4 is made up of <strong>sculpture<\/strong>; and finally the <strong>interventions in neighborhoods<\/strong> make up Room 5.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><a href=\"http:\/\/phefestival.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Puerto-Street-Artoakoak.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-655 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/phefestival.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Puerto-Street-Artoakoak-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Puerto Street Artoakoak\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Look for the interpretive tables and totems installed in the city, scan the QR code and take your tour to find out who is each of the artists and works.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>PSA<\/b> currently has around fifteen urban works, &quot;signed by internationally recognized artists&quot; that continue to grow with the different cultural projects that support the <strong>Cultural Strategy of Puerto de la Cruz<\/strong> (ECPC2020), together with the coordination of the Puerto de Street Art work platform. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">When you are walking around Puerto de la Cruz, look around you. <strong>Art haunts you...<\/strong><\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Puerto de la Cruz,\u00a0un lienzo al aire libre, donde la identidad de la creatividad urbano\u00a0cobra sentido en fachadas, calles o el propio mobiliario municipal.
