Phe Festival<\/strong> will feature music from Canary Islands artists San Tosielo, Ale Acosta, Los Bl3ody, and Nave Rota in its tenth edition. The Canary Islands are the birthplace of great musicians, and the 2025 edition of Phe Festival will be a prime example of this in the coming Friday 5<\/strong> and Saturday 6<\/strong> of September in Puerto de la Cruz.<\/p>\n The Portuense music festival continues its commitment to artists from the Canary Islands archipelago. Phe Festival<\/strong> it is a great showcase for Canarian music as it serves, on many occasions, to discover the musical talent that is born in the Islands. This commitment to local products is a commitment that also extends to Phe Club<\/strong>, where there will be several DJs from the Canary Islands.<\/p>\n San Tosielo<\/strong><\/em> Pablo and Adri\u00e1n, two Canary Islanders based in Madrid with very different musical backgrounds, but who together offer the unique freshness of an unlikely duo. A work that mixes sensitivity, rhythm, and very catchy lyrics. In 2024 they released the EP \u2018Vampire Existence<\/em>\u2019, with five tracks that consolidate their fresh and distinctive style. Humor plays a very important role in their concerts, and despite their short career, they have already been able to demonstrate in important venues and festivals that their live energy seems endless. They are about to release their next album.<\/p>\n Ale Acosta lands on the Phe Festival stage after starting his solo career in 2024.\u2018The future<\/em>\u2019is his first album in this new phase after almost 30 years in the music world, producing and belonging to emblematic projects such as Mojo Project<\/em> or Fuel Fandango<\/em>. This debut solo album is a highly anticipated, very personal record featuring collaborations with numerous artists such as Valeria Castro<\/em>, Santa Marta<\/em>, Juancho Marqu\u00e9s<\/em> or depedro<\/em>. This is a dance electronic work sprinkled with influences from their extensive and successful musical career.<\/p>\n A musical career that has been awarded numerous recognitions and accolades for one of the most outstanding contemporary musicians from the Canary Islands. One of the most recent recognitions, in 2024, was a nomination for the Latin Grammy Awards in the category of \u2018Best Latin Electronic Music Performance\u2019 for the track \u2018The Ash<\/em>\u2019next to the palm tree Valeria Castro<\/em> and what is included in his first solo album \u2018The future<\/em>\u2019.<\/p>\n Los Blody, a rock band born in Tenerife, are coming to Phe Festival with a promising live performance that will sweep away stereotypes of more commercial music. Their first album was released at the end of 2024: \u2018I'm not going to die here<\/em>\u2019It\u2019s pure rock, but it also mixes styles with lyrics that talk about their generation and timidly approaches the urban genre.<\/p>\n This quintet has been rebuilt after a first phase under the name Bloody Valentine, the name they were known by in the Lala Music band competition. They are sincere and do not practice false humility, something they make quite clear in some interviews granted to the media. With the characteristic rebellion of seasoned rockers, Los Blody will present themselves to the Phe Festival audience fair and square.<\/p>\n Nave Rota will be another of the Canary Islands bands that will be at the tenth edition of Phe Festival<\/strong>. They are the incorporation that comes thanks to winning the Sonora Passport in the musical competition of the same name held in May in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Daniel Ferreiro<\/em>, Carlos Arocha<\/em> and Victor McClane<\/em> they get into a musical vehicle piloted by talent, experience, and the pursuit of new sonic landscapes, even those that are more ambient and electronic. They don't sound broken, as the guitar, bass, and drums trio flows naturally and creatively.<\/p>\n Their first five-song EP marked the band's debut in 2023. However, the project was formed in mid-2022, and they began developing material based on improvisation during rehearsals before finalizing its form. From a foundation of drums, guitar, and bass, they incorporate live-triggered sequences and vocal textures, steering this ship into more ambient and electronic territories. After studio work, live performances emerged, where that same naturalness, characteristic of rehearsals with three musicians dedicated to guiding this ship to safe harbor, can also be felt.<\/p>\n The band Cycle comes from Madrid. But the Canary Islands ingredient is there: their singer, Carlos Ortega (Zurych, Monkey Faces), is from Lanzarote. Ortega is the fourth male vocalist Cycle has had since its beginnings, first with Luke Donovan, followed by Ziclope and Matthias Freund, vocalist of the German group Codec & Flexo.<\/p>\n Cycle, visiting the Phe Festival for the second time, is in an enviable state of form and their concerts continue to captivate audiences, just as they did in their beginnings, as has been evident on this 20th-anniversary tour. Ortega announces that at the concert they will give at Phe Festival, \u201cwe will play the album \u2018Weak on the rocks<\/em>\u2019 - his debut album- almost entirely, but we also do other songs that we have to play, like \u2018Saturday Girl<\/em>\u2019Oh\u2018Wicked<\/em>\u2019, which are on other albums and which are singles\u201d.<\/p>\n One of the main innovations of the tenth edition of Phe Festival is Phe Club. This commitment also cannot escape from Canary talent, as there are great DJs in the Canary Islands and a significant club culture.
